The most direct route is to fly to the town of Manzanillo [ ZLO - Airport ]. Regular service is only offered during the high season, November-March. Manzanillo Airport is approximately 45 minutes south of La Manzanilla, Jalisco - México. Taxis are approximately $60 USD each way or if you prefer you can aways rent a car. There is no direct bus service from the airport to La Manzanilla.

Alternatively, you can also fly to Puerto Vallarta and rent a car or take a bus to La Manzanilla via Melaque or Barra de Navidad. The trip will be approximately 3 1/2 hours.

First class bus service is available between Puerto Vallarta and Melaque, a town just south of La Manzanilla.

There is no direct bus service between Puerto Vallarta and La Manzanilla. From the Puerto Vallarta Airport [ PVR ] , you can take a taxi to the city’s main bus station - Central Camionera.

There is local bus service to and from La Manzanilla, Melaque, Barre de Navidad and
Cihuatlan . The times are approximate leaving from Palapa Joe's Restaurant in the town center. The costs is 10 pesos for a one-way ticket to Melaque.

Returning to La Manzanilla the bus departs from the main bus depot in Melaque. Stand in front of the air-conditioned depot and be patient. It is often late.
