Spacifico meaning peaceful spa. Newly opened by Daniela who is a trained beauty consultant. Golf

El Tamarindo Beach & Golf Resort located approximately 10 minute drive south of La Manzanilla. This world class resort hosts a par 72 course designed by David Fleming. You may email to make reservations for golf or restaurants:

Biking rentals are available through Guadalupe's located one block south of the jardin. Hourly, weekly, monthly rentals for both adults and children.

Kayaking was offered through Immersion Adventures. Hopefully someone will take over this tour operation for the next season. We shall see.

 

Surfing for the extreme is Arroyo Seco (Play Chica). Located approximately 15 miles north of La Manzanilla turn left off the highway just a few kilometers past the sign "Tecuan" and from there it is a 3 kilometer drive in. Also surf lessons are available in Barre de Navidad.

 

Fishing you can hire a local fisherman through the fishing co-op in the village across the street from El Girasol to go after Dorado, Sailfish, Tuna and many other varieties. You maybe fortunate enough to observe Spotted Porpoises, Whales, Brown Pelicans, Cormorants, Brown-footed Boobies, Frigates, and many others.

 

Camping

Eco/Cultural

Arroyo/Waterfall Tour we can arrange this for you.

 

Mangrove Boat Tours can be arranged through Fiesta Mexicana; 01-314-338-6316. Contact: Pancho, Alex, or Mony. This is a licensed boat tour through the mangrove waterways meeting up with the ocean. You will see many different species of birds, possibly some fish and snakes. This is ecology at its best. $300 pesos for boat/hour and can take up to 8 persons.

 

Sea Turtles you may be fortunate by seeing some young turtle hatchlings making their struggle to the ocean on one of your daily walks on the beach near the north end. You may also learn more about turtles in this area by visiting: http://tierralegre.org

 

 

Classes

Eileen's La Manzanilla join Eileen in her beautiful kitchen and discover new recipes for Thai, Indian, Middle Eastern, and Mexican dishes. She has been cooking professionally for more than 35 years and founded the catering firm Pease Porridge Hot and the Annapolis School of Cooking. Her years of experience in teaching and love of cooking make the classes fun as well as instructional.

 

Each class is "hands on" and students learn to prepare dishes from Eileen's international repertoire. Students work together creating the meal and then adjourn to the rooftop to enjoy a panoramic luncheon. Price includes recipes, lunch and beverages. Bookstore

This book exchange is a great place to purchase and exchange books. Bookstore hours are 7 days per week from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. located on the street on the west side of the Delegado's Office where the police office is located.

 

Language Schools
