This is a private beachfront home in the Pueblo of La Manzanilla.  The casa is a two story stucco residence that is surrounded by a new and beautiful fence.  The house has an extraordinary palapa (thatched) roof that covers the top floor, which is the master bedroom.  The house has been completely renovated as of 2008 ... with all walls, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and appliances new.  Both floors are newly decorated with cohesive tile work. More than 34 different two inch tiles create beautiful countertops in all of the bathrooms and both kitchens (kitchen on main floor and also on top floor).  All bathrooms have vessel sinks, newly purchased bed and bath linens.  In the garden is the second palapa which houses another built-in sofa and offers a place to relax and watch the fisherman bring in their boats at sunset.  Enjoy passing the time in this enchanting private area where there is a hammock and two hanging hammock chairs.

The first floor has two bedrooms, one and half baths, living room, kitchen and outdoor dining and living. There is a full patio off of this floor with a tropical garden leading to a separate palapa near the sea.  The sleeping porch provides additional outdoor living with built-in sofas and a table and chairs.  The queen size guest room has a separate entrance to the sleeping porch with a beautiful garden view.  There is a powder room on that porch as well.

The garden path takes you through a variety of tropical plantings.  The garden is mature with a wall of bright pink bougainvillea and many other tropical blooms including ivy and a very old hibiscus that reaches to the second floor balcony. 

The second floor is one huge room with a king size bed, computer desk, bath with shower and kitchen.  Two of the four walls have wooden shutters providing a spectacular view of the sea.  The palapa is stunning and the experience of sleeping there is unforgettable.  The sound of the sea is like music.  There is a patio off of this floor with a beautiful view of the ocean and the garden ... grand palms provide privacy and frame the sunset each evening.  The bathroom features a vessel sink and beautiful tile work with a large shower.  Just off the master bedroom is a utility area with a new washer and dryer.

I stayed at this lovely beach house this past winter and it was truly a slice of paradise!  The house itself is gorgeous, nicely remodeled, and comfortable, and the location couldn't get any better.  You're right on the beach! The town is quaint and welcoming, and I was pleasantly surprised to find such delicious food at the nearby restaurants.  My favorite part of my stay was sleeping under the amazing palapa and listening to the sounds of the ocean.  I definitely wish to return!  July 28, 2009

I stayed at this property with my family in February of 2009.  It is a gorgeous, relaxing, open and comfortable environment.  The beach is literally in the backyard.  There are also several nearby restaurants including a delicious coffee shop across the street.  I will definitely return! What a wonderful house.  I slept in the palapa - it was magical.  The sound of the surf, the light breeze - I could have been in Mexico ... oh, wait a minute?  Everything in and about the town was wonderful, polite and helpful people.  Wonderful food.  Great swimming and all ended with spectacular sunsets, alcohol and Martine's Restaurant "curry shrimp".  Thank you.  Anthony Robinson
