My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa de Alegria each time we have visited. The attention to detail, the comfortable surroundings, the bountiful garden will always be memorable for us in making our vacation in La Manzanilla lasting and wanting more. The sure sign of a good holiday!

My husband, Jim and myself, together with another couple, had the privilege to stay at Casa de Alegria just before Christmas in La Manzanilla and were amazed at how wonderful the place was! We found everything we needed in the kitchen and every other room. The place is very nicely decorated, well kept and practical! It was designed with offering the best of views from everywhere. We loved sunrise from one balcony, sunset from another, not to mention the Upper Terrace was always inviting for shade, sun, moonlight or one more chat and reason to celebrate life! Really we would not hesitate to go back and enjoy this lovely oasis again.

Luxury in La Manzanilla:
We were fortunate to stay a few days in this Mexican villa following a cycling trip to the area. The home is set up with 3 separate self contained areas - each very private from the others. We were in the Upper Terrace Suite which offered lots of outdoor living space and had panoramic views of the ocean and neighboring valley. All apartments were exquisitely furnished and fitted out with all the required appliances - right down to the blender for the margaritas! Sunsets were spectacular!! The swimming was very safe and uncrowded. We enjoyed several walks along the beach which runs a couple of kilometers north from town. The village is quaint with excellent restaurants. The town of Melaque is about 14 kilometers away - an easy drive, or a very short and inexpensive bus ride. All in all - a wonderful experience!!
