Take a guided boat tour on the high tide mango lagoon which is a federal ecological reserve located next to the village. This pristine area is inhabited by King Fishers, Egrits, Heron, Ibises, Anhingas along with a large colony of Crocodiles. Depending on the season you may be fortunate enough to view a mother whale playing with her calf or see young turtle hatchlings making their way to the ocean. One of the most pleasant surprises is the local restaurant scene. These excellent restaurants offer varied menus of Italian, Indonesian, American, and Mexican cuisine. So if a gourmet meal is what you desire you will not have to leave the village.
